Tax-exclusive price

A tax-exclusive price is the price of an item before tax, with the tax added on top at the invoice.

What it means for a shop owner

It suits trading between businesses, who deduct the tax and so do not care about it. A regular customer prefers the all-in price to know what he pays. Make it clear on the sign which type you use.

A worked example

The price is 200 before tax. With 10 percent tax the customer pays 220 on the invoice.
