Walk-in customer

A walk-in customer is a person who buys from the shop without an appointment or an account you have recorded.

What it means for a shop owner

Most retail sales are cash sales to walk-in customers, and there is no need to record their names. If you take a phone number with permission you can invite them back. Selling on credit usually does not suit them.

A worked example

Of 90 customers in a day, 80 are walk-ins and 10 have an account, so walk-ins are 89 percent.
