Warehouse

A warehouse is a place where goods are kept away from the sales floor, which may be a back room or a separate building.

What it means for a shop owner

Arrange it so you find any item fast and put older goods at the front. Protect it from damp, pests and theft. Record every move between the warehouse and the shop.

A worked example

You move 60 boxes from the warehouse to the shelf each morning and record the transfer.
