A tailoring quotation: the fabric and the fitting date for every garment.

A tailoring customer asks two things: what it will cost, and when to come for a fitting. Price changes a lot with the fabric. This template puts the fabric and the fitting date on every garment, so the quote is a written agreement on the cloth and the date. It has sample garments and prices are blank.

Common questions

What fabric do I write if the customer brings their own?

Write "customer's own cloth" with its length, so there is no confusion if it falls short or is left over. The charge here is for labour only.

Should I ask for a deposit?

It is usual to take part in advance to buy the cloth and begin cutting. Write the amount and date on the quote so the balance shows at handover.

What if measurements change after the fitting?

Record changes in a dated note, and if they raise the cost, tell the customer before doing them. What was agreed by word of mouth is hard to prove.
