A cosmetics receipt: the shade and the best-before date on the page.

One cosmetic product comes in ten shades, and a customer who returns a week later needs to know which one she bought. This template adds the shade and the best-before date, so an exchange for the same shade is easy and you can trace what is nearing its date. It has sample rows with generic names and no brands, and prices are blank.

Common questions

Can an opened cosmetic be exchanged?

That is your decision, and many shops do not take opened items for hygiene reasons. Put the policy near the receipt where the customer reads it before paying.

Why write the best-before date on the receipt?

Because a customer may complain about an expired product, and the date on your receipt shows what you handed over. It also helps when you pull a particular batch from the shelf.

How do I record a gift-wrapped item?

Write the product on its line and add a separate line for the wrapping with its price, so the product price stays clear if it is returned alone. Do not fold the wrapping into the product price.

Dashing does this for every item, automatically, in your shop.
