A laundry receipt: what the customer left and when to collect it.

In a laundry the receipt is the collection slip: without it the customer cannot prove what they left. This template gives a line per garment with the service and a ready-on date, so you know what must be done each day and the customer knows when to return. It has sample rows, and prices are blank.

Common questions

What if the customer loses the receipt?

Keep a copy of every receipt filed by number, and check the customer's name and phone before handing over. Do not release to someone who cannot describe the pieces.

How do I note a stain or a flaw?

Write the flaw next to the item at drop-off and let the customer see it. It protects you from a later dispute about the garment's condition before washing.

Should I ask for a deposit?

For large orders such as curtains and blankets, taking part in advance helps; write it on the receipt and the remainder shows at pickup. For small items, paying at collection is enough.

Dashing does this for every item, automatically, in your shop.
