Conversion rate

Conversion rate is the share of visitors who actually bought out of everyone who came in or asked, found by dividing buyers by visitors.

What it means for a shop owner

If many come in and few buy, the problem is price, display or service, not advertising. Raise it by improving layout and training the seller. Measure by the week so one day does not mislead you.

A worked example

In a week 200 people walk in and 50 buy. The conversion rate is 50 out of 200, which is 25 percent.
