Loyalty program

A loyalty program rewards the repeat customer with points or a discount to use on his next purchases.

What it means for a shop owner

The aim is that the customer comes back to you and not to your neighbour. Keep the rule simple enough to explain in one sentence, and check the reward costs less than the profit his return brings.

A worked example

One point per 10 units spent, and 100 points are worth 5 off. Spending 1000 earns 100 points and a 5 discount, which is half a percent.
