A test sale should not stay in your numbers. After your shop's first sale the till offers to cancel it in two taps.
Steps
- Ring and charge the sale as usual.
- Under the finished sale press "Was this a test? Remove it".
- Read the note: the sale is cancelled, the goods go back to stock and it no longer counts as a sale.
- Press "Remove the sale". Press "No, it was real" to keep it.
- If you made products only to try the till, a line asks "Did you make these products only to try it?". Press "Hide them from the till".
If it doesn't work
- "The sale was not removed. Try again.": check the internet and press "Remove the sale" again.
- You missed the offer: open the sale from "Invoices" and cancel it there.
- Hidden products come back from "Inventory", then "Deactivated".
What the system does not do
It only offers this for the first sale. Later sales are cancelled from their invoice page.
Common questions
- I don't see "Was this a test? Remove it".
- It shows under the shop's first sale, once the sale has been sent to the server. If you are offline, wait until the status badge shows you are back online.
- Will the removed sale count in my reports?
- No. It is cancelled like any cancelled invoice: the goods go back to stock and it no longer counts as a sale.
